What the work looks like.

Three shapes, and you choose which ones you hear about.

Most common

Questionnaires and surveys

A company wants to know how a pathway actually runs, or whether their product solves a real problem. You answer from your own practice.

  • 15 to 45 minutes, done when it suits you
  • Entirely remote
  • Typical fee: to be confirmed
Deeper

Interviews and focus groups

A scheduled call with a product or clinical team. You describe how the work is really done, and where a new tool would break.

  • Usually one hour, video call
  • Booked around your rota
  • Typical fee: to be confirmed
Ongoing

Clinical advisory roles

For doctors who want a longer relationship with one company - reviewing a product as it develops, or sitting on a clinical advisory board.

  • Typically one to two hours a month
  • Scope and term agreed with you before you commit
  • Typical fee: to be confirmed

The company pays you. We take nothing from your fee.

Most expert networks clip the ticket between the client and the clinician, which is why the rate you are offered is rarely the rate that was budgeted. Companies pay Health Collider to reach the community. What they pay you is between you and them.

How it works.

Two minutes of details below. We check your GMC number against the public register - it is what lets us tell companies the community is verified rather than self-declared.

Free, and always free

Opportunities come to you

When a company posts something that matches your specialty and the work types you picked, it lands in your inbox with the scope, the time it takes and the fee stated up front.

No obligation to reply

You deal directly with the company

If you take it, you agree terms and get paid by them. We are out of the loop from that point.

Your rate, your invoice

Before you join.

How much time does it take?

Most opportunities are a single hour or less - a questionnaire, or one interview. Ongoing advisory roles exist but are always agreed with you up front. You reply only to what interests you, and there is no minimum.

Who pays me, and when?

The company pays you directly, at the rate they set and state before you accept. Health Collider places the opportunity and takes nothing from your fee.

Do I need to declare this work?

Paid advisory work is a declarable interest under GMC good practice guidance and under most NHS employers' policies. Declare it through your usual route, keep your own record of what you advised on, and never share patient-identifiable information.

Who can join?

Any GMC-registered doctor in current UK practice, at any grade and in any specialty. We verify your GMC number against the public register before your first opportunity.
